Senior Project Surveyor - Central West Orana Project

Currently, this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational, it will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Project Surveyor to share their expertise within our growing Survey and Civil Team. 

Key Responsibilities

• The management of daily survey records, and 12d model datasets

• General set out and conformances

• Liaising and planning of site survey requirements with project staff

• Management of direct reports, including Field Surveyors and Junior Surveyors

• Integrating with the Design and Construction teams to support on multiple work fronts, for all required survey works, including minor design and drafting as required

  • Bridges/Structures/Civil Works

  • Road Construction

  • Earthworks surveys

  • Transmission line and Energy Hub Civil works

• 3D scanning/BIM modelling

• Drone survey’s

• Tertiary/TAFE Survey qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of Survey experience.  Preferred 10+ years on large civil/infrastructure projects

• High level understanding of 12d model, 12d field and 12d Synergy

• Management experience of multiple surveyors and field teams

• High level with Leica instrumentation TS15/16 and Leica/Trimble GNSS

• Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise works and work autonomously to deliver the outcomes

• Proven commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance on site

• Construction Induction Training (CIT/’White Card’ and current Driver Licence
