This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to support the Customer & Brand team in executing Line 1 Risk management activities. 

Job Description

In this role you will:  

  • Support the management of incidents, breaches, issues, and actions across Customer & Brand. 

  • Collaborate with control owners to develop and execute the annual Controls Assessment Plan for Customer & Brand. 

  • Lead the annual Risk and Controls Self-Assessment across the business unit. 

  • Prepare regular risk-related reports for the Leadership Team, Executive Team, and Board. 

  • Assist the Customer & Brand Business Manager in implementing the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) requirements across the business unit. 

  • Lead uplift activities required for CPS230. 

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with risk management policies and procedures, including Data, Records, and Third-Party Risk Management. 

  • Lead business resilience related activities for Customer & Brand. 

  • Provide support to business unit on risk and compliance related matters, including risk in change assessments.  

  • Drive a strong risk culture across the business unit, ensuring a sound understanding of TAL’s risk management processes.  

Qualifications

  • Relevant Academic Qualifications: A university degree in a related field. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant Risk Management and/or Compliance role, preferably within the financial services or life insurance industry. 

  • Proactive Self-Starter: Ability to work autonomously and take initiative. 

  • Attention to detail: Passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with proven experience in engaging with senior stakeholders.  

  • Collaborative: Strong ability to build long lasting working relationships. 

  • Analytical and Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. 

  • Forward-Thinking: Willing to constructively challenge the status quo. 

  • Curious: Eager to continuously learn and develop.
