About the role

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance you will assist in co-ordinating Risk & Compliance Business Activities, ensuring that Perpetual Wealth Management (PWM) operates within the legal and regulatory framework, as well as effectively managing potential risks that could impact the business, and embedding risk and compliance into business processes and systems.

Key responsibilities will also include:

  • Assist in maintaining and implementing the Perpetual Risk & Compliance Risk Management Framework for PWM, ensuring that strategy is executed in accordance with all regulatory requirements and delivers good client outcomes.

  • Assist in developing and delivering the Risk & Compliance team strategy.

  • Offer expert advice on risk & compliance matters to various departments

  • Ensure that PWM complies with all regulatory requirements and standards for offering financial products and Traditional Trustee Company Services to customers in Australia.

  • Lead by example to foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness in addition to knowledge sharing and collaboration.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A law, finance, business or accounting degree (or equivalent).

  • 10 years’ experience in risk and compliance roles and/or relevant business role.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of financial services and accounting businesses.

  • Extensive financial services experience essential and exposure to the operational aspects of funds management/ financial advice and trustee services and technology risk will be highly regarded.

  • Strong stakeholder and people management skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • Results oriented with a desire to deliver innovative solutions.
