The Opportunity
Due to continued strong growth and the award of several new projects supporting critical infrastructure across NSW , we are looking for a Senior Roads/Highways Design Engineer to join our Sydney team that has Road design experience, including extensive knowledge of local and Australian Standards.
As the Senior Roads/Highways Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of Engineers to produce detailed road designs, guiding our modelling team to achieve a compliant design solution.
Key accountabilities for the position:

Production or review of design reports or technical specifications. Review drawings and other deliverables.

Provide new and innovative design modelling solutions to problems, ensuring the team keeps pace with new advancements in technology in the industry.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide practical and cost-effective solutions.

Collaborate with other designers to develop and maintain design standards.

Mentor and guide younger team members.

Identify and forecast risks, opportunities and variances in the relevant scope of works.

Provide information for basic estimating exercises and contribute to our tenders.
Required Skills and Competencies

Tertiary education in Engineering or equivalent.

Strong understanding of all aspects of Road design gained in a design consultancy.

Ability to guide and coordinate the rest of the team to deliver a roads package.

12D design experience highly desirable but not mandatory.

Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
