Ko wai mātou – About us

Kia ora.  We’re Foodies.  You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right? That’s us!

With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.  Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.

Our Support Centre is 1,000+ people strong, which includes 300+ IT employees, who all play a vital role in ensuring the cogs of our Co-op stay turning and our systems stay ‘byte’-sized and ‘bug’-free.”.

Te Tūranga – About the role

Are you ready to shape the digital backbone of one of New Zealand’s most iconic co-operatives? As a Senior SAP Fullstack Developer in our SAP Centre of Excellence, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing smart, scalable SAP solutions that power the core of Foodstuffs North Island’s business—from stores and supply chain to finance and beyond. You'll be working with modern development tools, architectural patterns, and engineering practices to deliver solutions that are reliable, elegant, and high performing.

In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional tech teams to understand needs, build and test solutions, and ensure seamless deployment and support. You’ll be just as comfortable writing clean code as you are reviewing technical designs or jumping in to troubleshoot production issues. And because we believe in owning what we build, you’ll also be part of our on-call roster.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SAP solutions that meet FSNI’s architecture and development standards
- Collaborating across teams to ensure smooth delivery, handover, and support of new solutions
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, including contributing to estimates and backlog planning
- Performing application analysis, functional testing, and production issue resolution
- Supporting continuous integration, documentation, and technical best practices—while always keeping delivery timeframes in mind

Ngā painga - What we offer

-          Free carparking -we’ve got over 1,000 carparks including 36free EV plugs

-          Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores
-          Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday, long service leave

He kōrero mōu - About You

You’re a highly experienced SAP Fullstack Developer with over 7 years’ experience delivering end-to-end SAP solutions that are smart, scalable, and rock solid. You bring a deep understanding of both backend and frontend development—equally comfortable building RAP applications, crafting seamless Fiori UIs, and working with UI fragments as you are optimising backend logic. Whether it’s delivering within the SAP Landscape using UI5, diving into MM, or navigating the nuances of a retail environment, you know how to build solutions that work—and last.

You’ve got a clear DevOps mindset, strong grasp of clean architecture principles (Clean Core is a bonus!), and thrive in agile teams that value continuous delivery, learning, and collaboration. Your communication is just as strong as your coding, and you're always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what SAP can do.

You’ll bring:
- 7+ years of SAP Fullstack development experience with strong hands-on expertise in RAP implementation, ABAP, and Fiori UI development
- Proven experience in building and maintaining UI5 applications, including backend integration, UI fragments, and SAP Cloud Portal
- Solid understanding of Clean Core principles, and nice-to-have experience across SAP MM and retail environments
- A collaborative, agile mindset with experience in Scrum, XP, or Lean, and exposure to tools like JIRA and CI/CD pipelines
- A passion for high-quality delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and always learning what's next in the SAP space
