We are seeking a Principal/Senior SAP Payroll Consultant with deep expertise in Australian Payroll to lead the strategic design, deployment, and optimisation of Employee Central Payroll (ECP). In this senior role, you will provide thought leadership across end‑to‑end payroll architecture and implementation, ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence, and guide clients through complex HR and payroll transformation initiatives. You will oversee solution governance, mentor delivery teams, and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Australia, with occasional travel aligned to major project milestones. You also have the flexibility to work from any of our Australian or New Zealand office locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, best‑practice HCM and payroll advisory by interpreting complex client requirements and shaping robust, scalable SAP solutions.
  • Lead end‑to‑end SAP Payroll and/or Employee Central Payroll (ECP) programs, ensuring architectural integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Australian Payroll standards.
  • Redesign, document, and optimise payroll and HR business processes to drive operational efficiency and transformation outcomes.
  • Own solution design activities, including effort estimation, gap analysis, prioritisation, and the development of implementation roadmaps.
  • Oversee the build and testing of solution prototypes, guide configuration across project teams, and manage cutover readiness.
  • Define the overall testing strategy, develop and review test scripts, lead execution cycles, and ensure resolution of defects and design gaps.
  • Direct data migration planning (including historical payroll results and infotype mapping) to ensure a controlled and accurate transition.
  • Deliver high‑quality training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders to ensure long‑term sustainability of the solution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Deep, expert-level knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation (STP Phase 2, Superannuation, Fair Work) and its configuration within SAP.
  • A proven track record of leading at least 2-3 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations (ECP or On-Premise) within the Australian market.
  • Strong specialist knowledge in SAP HCM Payroll; experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and SuccessFactors integration is highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and design complex payroll schemas and PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules).
  • Strong consulting presence with exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and workshop‑facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, balance competing priorities, and provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work with SAP’s latest technologies, including S/4HANA, BTP, and Joule.
  • Flexible work environment: work from home anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, with travel for key project deliverables.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits.
  • Comprehensive SAP training and certification opportunities.
  • A supportive, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture.

DyFlex is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and flexible work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our success.
