About the Role

MSS Security is currently recruiting an experienced and professional Senior Security Officer to join our team at a high-profile government client site in Sydney CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer looking to take the next step in their security career while working in a professional environment with a strong focus on security, customer service, communication, and teamwork.

The site is conveniently located in the Sydney CBD with excellent access to public transport, making it easily accessible from across Sydney.

As a Senior Security Officer, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for our client, staff, visitors, and contractors.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting regular internal and external security patrols

  • Monitoring CCTV and security systems

  • Managing site access control and visitor management

  • Responding to and managing security incidents

  • Completing accurate and detailed incident reports

  • Providing professional assistance and directions to staff, visitors, and contractors

  • Maintaining a highly visible and professional security presence

  • Ensuring security procedures and site instructions are followed

  • Liaising professionally with clients, stakeholders, emergency services, and other personnel when required

  • Supporting team members and contributing to effective day-to-day site operations

  • Working confidently both independently and as part of a team

  • Assisting with the coordination of security activities when required

About You

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer who is professional, reliable, and confident working in a high-profile government site.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Certificate II in Security Operations

  • Current NSW Security Licence

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • White Card

  • Full working rights in Australia

  • Previous experience working in a professional security environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional presentation and a strong customer-service approach

Previous experience in a senior security, corporate, commercial, control room, or high-profile client environment will be highly regarded.

Roster & Flexibility

  • Permanent Full-Time opportunity

  • 24/7 rotating roster

  • Availability across day, afternoon, and night shifts

  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required

  • Convenient Sydney CBD location with excellent public transport access

Pay & Benefits

  • $30.23 per hour + Superannuation + Applicable shift loading

  • Permanent full-time employment
