Job DescriptionAs a Senior SEO Content Manager (GB) at Wise, you are a pivotal leader responsible for driving the performance and growth of SEO content within a designated region. Reporting directly to the SEO Content Team Lead, you will fully own the regional SEO content strategy, lead a team of SEO Content Managers and/or Specialists, and champion innovative projects that significantly enhance Wise's market position and customer engagement.
This role requires extensive SEO content expertise, a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, and a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. You will proactively identify complex challenges, resolve them with exceptional autonomy, and contribute strategically to the broader Marketing pillar. You are a recognized "go-to" professional within your field, instrumental in achieving Wise's mission to make money borderless and eventually free.
Your Mission:
- Regional Ownership & Strategy: Own the end-to-end performance and growth strategy for generating new customers for Wise within your designated region. This includes developing, iterating, and delivering a long-term plan for sustainable organic growth.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of SEO Content Managers and/or Specialists within your region. Challenge your team to achieve their growth objectives for their respective locales and foster their professional development.
- Operational Excellence: Own the hiring pipeline and strategy for your region, ensuring the acquisition of top talent. Oversee and optimize the planning cycle for your region to ensure efficient and impactful content delivery.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve diverse, complex SEO content problems with almost no input from your Lead. Champion innovative projects and campaigns that push the boundaries of organic growth.
- Market & Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our prospective customers within your region and the varied Wise product offerings across different countries, translating insights into actionable content strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Own and cultivate strong relationships with product teams, regional business leaders, and other stakeholders across the wider Marketing function, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
- Performance Accountability: Set realistic yet ambitious targets for your region, inspire and motivate your team to achieve them, and own the performance forecast for your region. Also ensure your team adheres to the relevant compliance and legal guidelines.
- Knowledge Leadership: Act as a central knowledge hub, identifying gaps, seeking coaching for yourself and others, and proactively sharing expertise across the team, channel, and broader Marketing pillar to accelerate development and performance.
- Influence & Collaboration: Your communication and engagement will extend beyond your immediate region and channel, influencing decisions and fostering collaboration across the broader SEO organization and relevant pillar squads.
Qualifications

- You are recognized as a go-to professional in SEO content, with a deep understanding of complex SEO principles, content marketing best practices, and their impact on business goals.
- You have a proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams, understanding how to support diverse abilities and flexing your leadership style accordingly.
- You are highly analytical and data-driven, proficient in advanced use of SEO tools (e.g., GA, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Looker) and capable of transforming complex data into clear, actionable regional strategies and forecasts.
- You are a strategic, long-term thinker who can autonomously identify, validate, and execute on significant growth opportunities for a region.
- You possess exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to articulate complex strategies, insights, and the impact of SEO initiatives to all levels of the business.
- You have strong experience working with and navigating diverse business stakeholders across different functions.
