As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in diagnosing and optimising performance across .NET and modern .NET applications that support business-critical systems, working hands-on with complex, high-throughput platforms to analyse code, databases, and infrastructure to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Collaborating closely with Engineering and DevOps teams, you’ll gain end-to-end exposure to high-performance production environments, contribute to architectural reviews and modernisation initiatives, and mentor engineers to elevate performance standards—growing personally and professionally with a company expanding globally and continuously evolving its product offering.

What you’ll be working on
Performance & Optimization
- Help improve the performance of .NET applications by identifying and fixing issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Work with web, service, and background systems to improve speed, reliability, and efficient use of resources.
- Suggest and implement practical improvements such as better asynchronous patterns, caching, and smarter design choices.
Design & Modernization
- Contribute to design discussions to ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and performant.
- Be involved in modernising legacy .NET systems and exploring newer technologies.
What will help you be successful?
- 5+ years’ experience with .NET Framework (4.x), C#, and performance diagnostics in production systems.
- Strong understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core runtime behaviour, including performance tuning and concurrency.
- Experience using profiling and debugging tools such as PerfView, dotTrace, Visual Studio Profiler, and ETW.
- Hands-on experience optimising Entity Framework and database queries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, performance baselining, and load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, k6).
