About the role?

Lendi Group is seeking an AI focussed Software Engineer for one of our product groups. The Automate team aims to simplify the complex process of applying for home loans and is responsible for the required documents process. Within this area, there are several chances to implement sophisticated technologies such as OCR to minimize manual effort in the home loan application procedure. 

You will be reporting to the Automate Team Leader, working side-by-side with the high-performing, knowledgeable, and fun Automate team members.

Job Description

• Build an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interface, specifically designed to empower borrowers. This platform will guide users through mortgage options to find the perfect match for their unique circumstances. 
• Develop a suite of tools that enhance productivity and efficiency for our brokers
• Partner with our Product/UX team to create visual and interaction designs that resonate with our customers, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. 
• Take charge of major segments of our system end to end, demonstrating expertise in both design and delivery. Provide stable, high-quality solutions that stand the test of time. 
• Build robust and scalable software as an integral member of our Automate engineering team. Lay the foundation for a resilient and evolving technological framework. 
• Commit to writing clean, maintainable code. Prioritise practices that support continuous integration and deployment, adhering to the highest standards and guidelines in software development. 
• Contribute to the success of a dynamic, cross-functional Agile team. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment. 
• Embrace full ownership of the code you and your team develop. Be proactive in debugging, monitoring, and ensuring the utmost reliability in our production environment. 
• Articulate ideas and convey complex information clearly to your team and other teams, including major banks and insurers. 

AI

• Provide subject matter expertise on AI tools, agents and vendors, and take technical leadership of your team's AI efforts
• Take AI focussed initiatives from idea to production putting an emphasis on scalability and robustness of the solutions
• Build company-wide AI capability and take your AI experience beyond your own team

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end engineering.
• Experience with projects across many browsers, building back-end services and components such as microservices, databases, or APIs. 
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS. 
• Deep experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Redux. Experience in webpack configurations is helpful. 
• Familiarity with CSS-in-JS frameworks such as Styled Components or Emotion. 
• Familiar with atomic design and working with designers and UX experts.
• Background in using and developing standard APIs (REST, GraphQL), enabling seamless integration and communication between various software components in Node.js (TypeScript). 
• Proficiency in standards and techniques for web scalability, performance, and security.
• Experience with Azure Cloud, OCR and other AI technologies

AI

• Proven experience with different AI tools, agents and vendors such as claude or bedrock
• Proven experience with different AI technologies, such as text vs image generative, RAG and multi-agent
• Proficiency integrating AI vendors into an enterprise eco-system
