We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer, with experience across the full stack of web development. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing our product offerings, which play a crucial role in improving student outcomes through extracurricular activities. Your expertise will help us scale the product as we go through our next exciting growth phase, and also ensure we deliver high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly solutions.

You will be a part of our dynamic and growing Product & Engineering team, writing clean and maintainable code, performing code reviews, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers. Your ability to take initiative, mentor peers, and contribute to solution architecture sessions will be essential. • Work collaboratively with product manager, designer and other engineers to deliver solutions that enhance our customers’ experience
• Writing code that is clean, highly maintainable and well-tested
• Performing code reviews with peer engineers
• Operate as a team player, as well as coaching and mentoring other engineers
• Make suggestions on how to improve the codebase and architecture
• Work with the support team to debug and fix production defects
• Occasionally engaging with customers by coming along to demos and customer success meetings

We don’t need you to have in-depth knowledge of all of these technologies (though it's a bonus if you do), but we do need you to be able to work with our stack:

• Angular (or equivalent experience with React/Vue)
• Node.js
• PostgreSQL
• Typescript
• AWS (or Google Cloud/Azure)
• Microservices with serverless infrastructure (Lambda, ECS Fargate)
• Monorepo management using Nx
• Jest, Storybook, Cypress for testing

• You have 5+ years of deep engineering experience as a full-stack developer and are comfortable working across a range of technologies
• You’re highly motivated to deliver a fantastic product to our users and you take ownership of the problems we face, working effectively to eliminate them
• You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to work closely and efficiently with the team towards goals
• You have experience working in, and helping to create, a strong engineering culture
• You have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (and this extends to performance, data structures, algorithms and design patterns)
• Your experience ranges across the full SDLC
