About Us

At Displayr, our mission is to make it easier for everyone to find and share the stories in their data. We do this by creating software that makes it easy to do all aspects of data analysis and reporting, from simple tables through to machine learning, PowerPoint automation to online dashboards.

Our Engineering team is at the heart of this mission, and we need YOU.

As a bootstrapped company with no corporate debt or external advisors, we’ve grown steadily over seven years from 11 to over 100 team members, serving 1,700+ clients, including industry leaders like Nielsen, Meta, and Amazon. We’ve earned recognition as a Great Place to Work for three years in a row and ranked 1st in ANZ’s Best Tech Companies 2023.

We are the proud winners of Work180 Equitable Workplace Awards for flexible working in both 2023 and 2024.

With our head office in Sydney and teams across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the UK, we’re shaping the future of data storytelling—join us as we make data more accessible, insightful, and actionable.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Product (UX) to join our User Experience team in a frontend-leaning full-stack role.

This role is ideal for someone who loves working deeply in the frontend — building polished, high-quality user experiences — and who’s also comfortable making product changes that extend to our core backend, while contributing to broader architectural decisions in a large, long-lived product codebase.

From your first week, you’ll be contributing to technical and product discussions, working closely with product leadership to turn ideas into high-quality, user-focused features. Over time, you’ll take ownership of major user-facing areas, help define frontend best practices, mentor other engineers, and influence the long-term direction of our product.

While this isn’t a pure full-stack role, you’ll have exposure to backend systems and work closely across teams to deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions.

About You

You’re a senior engineer who enjoys building high-quality product experiences and takes pride in writing clean, maintainable software. You likely have significant experience working on complex production systems and are comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience building modern web applications, including:
    • Customer-facing features
    • Complex, long-lived products
  • Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Strong experience with React (experience with MobX is a bonus)
  • A solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability
  • Comfort collaborating across disciplines — working closely with product leadership and design to shape solutions
  • A pragmatic mindset that balances UX quality, technical simplicity, and long-term scalability
  • Experience contributing to or owning larger systems or feature areas
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • A desire to keep learning, improving, and sharing ideas with the team

Our Tech Stack

  • Frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, React
  • Backend: C#, SQL
  • Other: Python, R, Rust, Node.js
  • Infrastructure: Azure, Kubernetes
