About you

  • You're talented, humble and empathetic.

  • You love teamwork. You enjoy collaborating with others, in and outside of your engineering cohort - working as one, to achieve a shared dream.

  • You get stuff done - autonomously, and you reliably deliver your cleanly designed and implemented part of the puzzle that works beautifully with the rest of the puzzle - always.

  • You take your engineering team mates on the journey with you. Sharing what you know and learn as you go.

  • You're pragmatic in your approach to engineering problems, knowing there are always trade-offs and different times for different approaches. You know what good looks like and how to achieve it, while getting to market nice and early.

  • You care deeply about building and operating reliable, scalable, maintainable systems.

  • You care deeply about the overall customer experience.

  • You're always learning, keen to hone your craft and actively participate in team improvement.

  • Your capabilities include elevating the team around you - their quality and velocity is improved by your influence.

  • You want to work on, and have a say in, a product that can meaningfully impact people's businesses, across the world.

About the Team:

The team you’ll be working with are passionate about Qwilr as a product, and as an organisation. We strive to bring our A-game with us. Always. In engineering specifically, the broader team consists of an array of full-stack developers, as well as frontend, site reliability, and backend-integrations gurus.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaboratively design and deliver software and systems for Qwilr.

  • Shape, plan, build and operate Qwilr’s product features.

  • Design and implement solutions with an exceptional degree of technical understanding, and a glorious degree of excellence, balanced with an equally glorious desire to get stuff done.

  • Demonstrate capability when it comes to solving complex technical challenges cleanly, and with a passion for supportable software.

  • Iterate on team development practices and technical excellence/understanding - constantly improving yourself and contributing to the elevation of your Qwilr engineering team.

  • Seek a collaborative, clear, shared understanding of project requirements and priorities.

  • Find a balance between quality and speed that delivers consistently awesome results, aligned with Qwilr’s overall strategic goals.

  • Work autonomously, with a strong bias for collaboration, helping to uplift your team, demonstrating an openness to growth.

  • React, Nodejs, Javascript, Typescript

  • MongoDB, Druid

You can find more about diversity and inclusion at Qwilr here.
