We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team. This role is ideal for someone with world-class technical skills and a deep empathy for fellow developers. You’ll work alongside talented engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver tools and platforms that make development at ResMed a joy.
What You’ll Do
- Champion a developer-first mindset with empathy for the challenges of modern software development.
- Drive full-lifecycle product development—from concept to delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Present ideas clearly to peers, team members, and leadership.
- Lead our inner sourcing/open sourcing strategy and foster a strong developer community.
- Promote cloud-native architecture and help guide our migration efforts.
- Build and maintain observability and reliability of services.
- Participate in a Sun model standby rotation for production incident management.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and strategic migration plans.
- Provide thought leadership across architecture, processes, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate across teams to build consensus and shared understanding.
What You’ll Bring
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Professional software development or platform experience.
- Experience working across multiple languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, TypeScript, React).
- Strong testing practices and commitment to code quality.
- Experience documenting code using frameworks like Markdown.
- Deep knowledge of source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and automated quality gates (GitHub or Bitbucket).
- Proven experience modernizing legacy systems and migrating to cloud-native architectures.
- Problem-solving skills and familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with GenAI and integrating AI into existing systems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
- Hands-on experience managing JFrog Artifactory and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Splunk, ELK).
- Production experience operating Kubernetes clusters in public cloud.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with on-call rotations and incident management.
