Our journey began in 2014 with the launch of RateMyAgent, which became a trusted review platform across Australia, New Zealand, and the US. We listed on the ASX in 2018 (ASX:RMY) and reached a significant milestone in December 2024 with the strategic acquisition of Curated Social. We are a collaborative, global team of eighty people across Australia, the US, NZ, and the Philippines, focused on building a best-in-class product that turns real estate professionals into local authorities.
The Role
We aren't looking for someone to just crank out tickets, we need a Senior Software Engineer who brings a strong product mindset to the team, an individual with high technical nous and a sharp business mindset who understands that technology exists to solve customer problems and drive revenue. You will join a high-velocity, courageous team (typically four engineers, a Tech Lead, a PO, and a UX expert) that prioritises pragmatic problem-solving over enterprise red tape. We move fast, deploying over 20 times a day, and we expect you to own features from initial discovery through to measurement.

Must Have
- Core Stack: 5+ years of experience in full-stack .NET development (C#, .NET 9) and Entity Framework.
- Front-End: Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript (v16+).
- Cloud & Data: Solid experience with AWS and Relational Databases such as Postgres or SQL Server.
- Delivery: A history of outcome-led development within agile teams where you own the full lifecycle.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code) or containerisation via AWS Fargate.
- Exposure to data scaling tools like OpenSearch (ElasticSearch), Snowflake, or Redis.
- Familiarity with analytics and tracking tools such as Heap, PostHog, or Segment.
AI and the Future of Engineering
We expect our engineers to be curious about the future of engineering and AI-native development. You should be comfortable incorporating AI into your workflow to enhance productivity and code quality. Beyond your personal toolkit, we look for engineers who are eager to explore how AI can be integrated into our product features to provide better insights and automation for our users.
Our Hiring Process
Our process begins with a 30-minute technical screen on Zoom to discuss your experience and approach to engineering. If we move forward, we invite you to a 90-minute on-site session involving a whiteboarding scenario to see how you think and a pair-programming exercise to see how you translate those thoughts into code.
