This is more than a recruiting role; it's an opportunity to act as a primary brand ambassador for CBC/Radio-Canada, building lasting trust and long-term relationships with hiring managers in our Northern Bureaus.

Your success will be tied to your ability to develop and execute effective talent attraction strategies that result in an outstanding candidate and manager experience, reflecting our corporate values at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment Partnership: Guide and advise hiring managers through every stage of the recruitment cycle, including identifying needs, drafting compelling job descriptions, setting strategic sourcing channels, developing interview guides, participating in selection boards, and extending offers.

  • Talent Strategy & Sourcing: Develop and implement proactive talent attraction strategies focused on building a qualified and diverse workforce. Maintain a continuous talent pipeline by actively sourcing candidates through culturally relevant channels, social media, internal databases, specialized groups, and professional networks.

  • Compliance & Advisory: Ensure all recruitment activities strictly comply with collective agreements, corporate policies, and relevant labour legislation/regulations.

  • Candidate & Manager Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for managers and candidates, providing timely updates and ongoing support while passionately promoting our employer brand and benefits.

  • Networking: Represent the organization and conduct networking at targeted recruitment events (such as job fairs and trade shows).

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our recruitment processes and stay current with evolving industry practices.

What You Bring:

  • Proven influential leadership abilities to guide processes, negotiate hiring conditions, and advise clients effectively.

  • Superior interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • A proactive and creative mindset for implementing innovative sourcing and networking strategies, particularly within Northern and Indigenous talent markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of varied, specialized recruitment assignments in a fast-moving, complex, and evolving environment.

  • High degree of judgment, attention to detail, and a strict commitment to confidentiality and procedural integrity.

  • A strong foundation in Indigenous knowledge systems and community relations

  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.

  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (Workday is an asset).

  • Proficiency with tools in the Google and Office suites is an asset.

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations or a related field is an asset

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
