As a Senior/Staff Engineer in Frontend (FE) Central Quality Engineering - Global Deviation Management (Event Deviation) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a critical role in driving quality excellence across Micron's global Frontend manufacturing network. Our mission in the FE Central Process QE organization is to elevate Micron's quality standards through strategic collaboration with Frontend sites, Global Quality teams, and Central partners.
In this role, you will lead initiatives to identify, manage, and reduce deviations across all Micron Frontend fabs. You will partner with Corporate QMS, QRA, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to foster a Best-in-Class Quality Culture, ensuring alignment between quality, wafer output, and cost objectives.

As a Senior/Staff Engineer in Frontend (FE) Central Quality Engineering - Global Deviation Management (Event Deviation) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a critical role in driving quality excellence across Micron's global Frontend manufacturing network. In this role, you will lead initiatives to identify, manage, and reduce deviations across all Micron Frontend fabs. You will partner with Corporate QMS, QRA, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to foster a Best-in-Class Quality Culture, ensuring alignment between quality, wafer output, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global quality initiatives to design, implement, and sustain robust deviation management processes and systems.
- Drive the Effective Problem Solving (EPS) SWAT team, deploying Best-Known Methods (BKMs) and standardizing practices across manufacturing sites.
- Analyze and resolve major Quality deviations (e.g., Excursion & Late event) by providing data-driven recommendations to improve fab performance.
- Champion quality improvement projects, addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Continuously enhance quality metrics such as $CoNC and %NCD through innovative solutions and system improvements.
- Form and lead cross-functional task forces to address quality health concerns and improve metric performance across sites.
- Drive innovative, AI-enabled project solutions to optimize efficiency, accelerate problem resolution, and deliver sustained KPI performance.
- Own FE EPS / GPSS governance, business-rule compliance, scorecard reviews, metric health checks, event review forums, follow-up discipline, and cross-site lesson learned visibility.
- Maintain KPI dashboards, GPSS scorecards, High Alert reporting, and leadership reporting cadence by coordinating site / SME data collection and translating F15 event trends into actionable governance insights.
Collaborations
- Partner with global stakeholders to align quality strategies and improve roadmaps.
- Perform trend analysis and data-driven evaluations to guide corrective and preventive actions.
- Support manufacturing objectives by collaborating with worldwide central and site teams to balance quality, cost, and output.
- Recommend Global solution & System to assist Site EPS & Event Engineering team to manage the Deviation management effectively and efficiently
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong foundation in problem-solving methodologies (EPS, GPSS, 8D, 5-Why) within semiconductor manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI and digital tools to improve engineering decision-making and process effectiveness.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical, deployable solutions for operations and engineering Teams.
- Excellent communication skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education and Experiences
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality or Yield/Process engineering or related roles within the semiconductor industry.
