Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to establish and drive the Zendesk for Startups initiative in the APAC region. This role is perfect for someone with a deep passion for technology and startups, who thrives in fast-paced environments and is skilled at building authentic relationships with founders and venture capitalists. As the first hire in the region, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our strategy and lead a team dedicated to helping startups succeed with Zendesk products.
What you'll be doing:

Build and Nurture Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and technology ecosystem partners to promote Zendesk among their portfolio companies. Organize office hours, events, and other initiatives to engage with founders and deliver value to their communities.

Drive Marketing Initiatives: Create and implement innovative marketing strategies to increase startup adoption of Zendesk. This includes executing campaigns, events, and outreach efforts tailored to the unique needs of startups in the region.

Support Startups: Guide startups through the decision-making process by answering product and pricing inquiries, ensuring they understand the value that Zendesk brings to their business.

Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal resources to execute marketing initiatives effectively, leveraging cross-functional support to maximize impact.

Define Growth Strategy: Help shape the growth strategy for the APAC region, identifying opportunities for expansion and recruiting a talented team to execute on this vision.
What you bring to the role:

Experience: 7+ years of relevant leadership experience in a customer or partner-facing role, with a proven track record of driving results in a high-growth environment.

Startup Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep immersion in the regional startup ecosystem, with an understanding of key players, emerging trends, and the challenges startups face.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to measure the impact and success of marketing initiatives, using data to inform decisions and strategies.

Self-Starter Attitude: A proactive, independent mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex business concepts clearly and effectively, and deliver compelling presentations.
Nice to haves:

Subject matter expertise in managing customer support or sales teams.

Experience implementing and configuring Zendesk or similar platforms.

Background as a founder, or experience working with an accelerator or venture capital firm.
