The Reserve Bank of Australia is hiring a Senior System Administrator! Be part of a team that supports each other and demonstrate growth mindsets. This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement) and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives. Information Technology Department - responsible for transforming and developing the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives.

About the role

  • Assist in providing support services in relation to the operations and maintenance of Active Directory operating systems across the RBA virtualisation and physical infrastructure in the support of business critical applications.

  • Deliver the required documentation, reporting and data collection for asset management, audit, standard operations and proactive management of the Bank's end-to-end IT infrastructure services and processes.

  • Continuously improve systems to enhance the user experience, operate efficiently and cost effectively, including maximising automation and orchestration of implementation and ongoing operations

  • Ensure a Bank wide culture of applying industry best practice, guidelines and governance through consultation, collaboration, coaching, advice, guidance and knowledge sharing with peers across IT and business staff.

  • Liaise with project and technical teams to facilitate the successful delivery of infrastructure solutions aligned to IT Infrastructure and Operations standards and patterns

About you

  • Advanced skills/experience with Active Directory, including supporting components (DNS, DHCP and DFS).

  • Advanced skills/ experience with Active directory automation and release practices including advanced group policy management

  • Demonstrated IT experience in a service delivery or system administration role.

  • Experience of automation of system administrative tasks.

  • Demonstrated experience with scripting such as shell, bash or PowerShell.

  • Willingness to maintain, or undertaken provided training to acquire, IT and industry related certifications as products are updated/released.

  • Manage the service delivery, support and proactive maintenance of Bank's IT Infrastructure services and processes.

  • Contribute towards maximising the availability and cyber protections of IT Infrastructure systems by enhancing resilience and recovery capabilities to minimising the impact of incidents.
