We are seeking a Senior System Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This role will support the delivery of technical change initiatives aligned with the Bank’s cybersecurity strategy, particularly the Essential Eight framework. You will work closely with business units and IT stakeholders to ensure systems are secure, current, and fit for purpose.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional with a strong application support background and hands-on experience across Windows 11, Azure Microsoft Dev Box, and enterprise application support (.NET, Java, COTS).

Please note, this is a fixed term contract position running to February 2027.

About the role

  • Support the implementation of Essential Eight cybersecurity controls including application control, MFA, macro security, and server hardening.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues such as login failures, provisioning delays, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Provide technical support across infrastructure and applications (.NET, Java, COTS).
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and business stakeholders to plan and deliver technology changes.
  • Document support procedures and develop troubleshooting guides.
  • Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement and modernization.
  • Configure, test, and maintain software and managed applications.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and version updates.
  • Support production changes and resolve technical issues for end users.
  • Collect and analyze usage statistics and service delivery metrics.

About you

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in application migration or technical lead roles.
  • Solid understanding of desktop applications and its lifecycle maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Technical Skills We Value

  • Operating Systems & Virtual Environments: Windows 11, Azure Microsoft Dev Box.
  • Infrastructure & Identity Management: Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Azure fundamentals, CIAM, Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
  • Office Automation & Debugging: MS Office Macros, Excel add-ins, application debugging.
  • Application Support: Installation and troubleshooting of COTS applications.
  • DevOps Exposure: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Essential – Level 1 (L1) Support: Provides frontline assistance including basic troubleshooting, user guidance, and issue triage.
  • Preferred – Level 2 (L2) Support: Able to perform advanced diagnostics, system configuration, and escalate complex technical issues.
