About the role

This role sits within the Essential Eight Maturity Uplift, Server Stream, responsible for uplifting the security controls on our server fleet.

Reporting to the Projects Team Lead, you will work directly with Product owners, scrum master and technical teams to ensure an efficient delivery of the project deliverables. This role will require expertise in On-premises infrastructure, hybrid technologies such as Azure Arc and an understanding of cloud technology, with a strong focus on operational excellence and system reliability.

About you

  • Solid experience administering Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) in enterprise environments with sound Redhat Linux expertise.

  • Hands-on Azure skills: Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, Azure Portal resource management, RBAC, and identity lifecycle.

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and domain services.

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO/NIST/Essential Eight) and practical experience applying security baselines and controls.

  • Experience deploying and managing security tools/agents (e.g., EDR/AV, update management, log collectors).

  • Experience with server application control tools (e.g., allowlisting/denylisting solutions) is considered advantageous.

  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash for automation.

  • Understanding of patching, backups, monitoring, and incident/change/problem processes (ITIL awareness a plus).

  • Clear documentation skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
