About the team

The Talent Acquisition team at Airwallex plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by sourcing and recruiting the brightest and most ambitious minds to drive our company forward. We collaborate with hiring managers and leadership teams to understand business needs and proactively find the right individuals who will contribute to our success. As trusted advisors, our team is passionate about building strong relationships with candidates and delivering a seamless recruiting experience that reflects Airwallex’s operating principles, dynamic culture and global ambitions.

Note: this is a 12 month fixed term contract covering a maternity leave. Given Airwallex's growth, going permanent is a real possibility.

What you'll do

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner based in Melbourne or Sydney, you’ll play a strategic and hands-on role owning the end-to-end recruitment process for business-critical roles. You’ll collaborate directly with executives and hiring managers to help shape recruitment strategy, design creative sourcing plans, and raise the bar for talent across the business. You’ll be a trusted advisor, leveraging data-driven insights, utilising the latest technology and platforms, and championing a candidate experience that reflects Airwallex’s global ambitions and culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver full-cycle recruitment, including intake meetings, sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding - for a variety of roles from junior to mid level roles

  • Develop and execute creative, data-driven sourcing strategies leveraging digital channels, direct outreach, and your own networks to attract diverse, top-tier talent

  • Partner directly with executives and senior leaders, advising on hiring strategy, challenging assumptions, and providing market intelligence

  • Drive candidate engagement, rigorous assessments, and selection processes to ensure cultural and capability fit

  • Influence and coach hiring managers with data-driven recommendations and insights into market trends

  • Track key recruiting metrics, optimise processes, and continuously improve effectiveness using ATS, AI tools, and analytics

  • Champion Airwallex’s employer brand by building strong candidate relationships and maintaining a high-quality, inclusive experience at every stage

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 7+ years of end-to-end recruiting experience in fast-paced environments, ideally with at least 2 years in-house and exposure to tech or fintech

  • Proven success sourcing and closing tough candidates, including senior roles, and developing innovative sourcing strategies

  • Demonstrated confidence and ability to work autonomously, solve problems creatively, and thrive in ambiguous settings

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for delivering outstanding candidate and hiring manager experiences

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), data fluency, and proficiency with ATS/recruitment technologies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting for diverse corporate and GTM functions in high-growth or global organisations

  • Experience building and scaling teams across locations, navigating global markets and hiring teams
