Job DescriptionAre you a seasoned talent acquisition professional ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking a Senior Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience recruiting into the Defence Industry to shape our recruitment strategies in alignment with our workforce needs and long-term vision. If you thrive on innovation, data-driven decision-making, and building strategic partnerships, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with our Defence senior leaders to develop proactive talent strategies that align with our business objectives and future needs.
- Provide market insights, talent mapping, and competitor intelligence to inform workforce and capability decisions.
- Translate business strategy into actionable talent acquisition plans that support organisational agility and long-term workforce sustainability.
- End-to-End Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process for high-impact Defence roles, ensuring superior candidate engagement and quality hires.
- Provide strategic guidance on role design, talent availability, and market positioning to influence hiring decisions at the executive level.
- Lead talent mapping and pipelining efforts to proactively build diverse, future-ready leadership pipelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement innovative recruitment enhancements, leveraging AI and automation to optimize workflows and candidate experiences.
- Use data and analytics to inform strategic decisions, forecast talent needs, and measure the impact of recruitment initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with hiring leaders, providing insights and recommendations that drive informed workforce decisions.
- Influence workforce decisions through the presentation of talent insights, market intelligence, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Confidently present recruitment strategies, insights, and data to senior stakeholders and support decision-making with evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with the employer brand team to create compelling campaigns that attract top-tier Defence talent and reflect our Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
- 10+ years in recruitment, hiring within engineering across Defence with a strong background in strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Recent experience attracting and hiring talent from overseas, knowledge of the Visa process is advantageous
- Expertise in recruitment tools and technologies, including AI-enabled platforms and analytics tools; exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
- Experience in recruitment marketing, EVP, and candidate engagement strategies.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data and act on them.
- Highly connected with a robust ability to build relationships with industry leaders and top talent.
