Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team in Sydney. 

The current recruitment team is superb and hugely appreciated by the wider business. It’s cohesive, smart and supportive and everyone is on the same page. It’s a great place to ply your trade, make a difference and whilst you're accountable to deliver, you are given the freedom to work to your strengths. You will manage a national portfolio supporting the delivery of multi million dollar projects and have the opportunity to get involved and collaborate with the global team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key hiring managers and leaders across the business to fully understand their current and future hiring needs

  • Develop customised recruitment strategies to enable effective and timely recruitment of top talent in-line with KBR’s growth strategy

  • Map the market and create talent pools  both locally and internationally

  • Write job advertisements and manage advertising across a range of platforms

  • Promote KBR at networking events and push for referrals from industry contacts and KBR staff

  • Head hunt talent using Linkedin Recruiter

  • Review, shortlist and screen potential candidates

  • Support hiring managers throughout the interview process and customise interview guides so that all key competencies are appropriately explored

  • Offer management and negotiation to ensure the offer stage runs smoothly

  • Manage all offers and review employment contract documents to ensure all necessary information is completed and employee on-boarding is a smooth process

Experience & Key Skills

  • Essential requirements

    • Extensive experience in technical recruiting.

    • Engineering recruitment experience, preferably across either Defence Infrastructure, Building Services or Transport

    • Excellent market knowledge, networks and relevant industry relationships

  • Extensive experience working for a recruitment agency or in an internal recruitment role

  • A natural ability to build rapport with people quickly and be a good judge of character

  • Proven track record recruiting technical roles in candidate short markets

  • Ability to effectively use Linkedin Recruiter to head hunt talent

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience writing exciting and engaging job adverts
