The Markets Technology team combines technical expertise, innovative problem-solving to design, deploy and implement effective solutions to support the Trading and Clearing businesses within the ASX.
Your responsibilities
- Provide application and technical support of ASX’s Trading Systems and interfacing applications
- Non-functional Testing and implementation of software releases
- Contribute to the designing of solutions within Markets technology
- Work closely with business, technology and operational stakeholders to define technical options and agree solutions
- Create risk awareness. Assist in the identification, management and closure of open risk actions
- Design and development of solutions that are aligned with ASX technology practices, providing reliable, stable applications Apply a continuous improvement mindset to standards, methods and processes
Your experience and qualifications
Must have
- Proven experience in technical leadership, including responsibility for quality of technical deliverables
- 5+ years support of Critical IT systems
- Windows and Linux server support
- TCP/IP network based application support
- Non-functional testing experience including BCP/ Disaster recovery
- Scripting Skills (Shell, Perl, Python)
- Proven performance under pressure and ability to apply analytical, problem solving and investigative skills
- Willing to work on a rotational shift, be on-call and work occasional weekends
- Trading system knowledge or applied knowledge of financial systems
- Knowledge of participant support requirements for ASX Trading Environments
- Database Experience, MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools
- Integration technologies covering enterprise service bus and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Tibco ESB or similar
Nice to have
- Familiarity as a user with automated service desk, incident, problem and change management tools
- Knowledge of FIX messaging protocol
- Familiarity with COBIT 5 and/or ITIL methodologies
