About the Team
This role is part of the Payments Settlements department, Business Services Group. Business Services Group is responsible for the provision of banking and payments services to Australian Government agencies, the provision of payment settlement services to Australian financial system participants through the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the production and issuance of Australian banknotes.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst – Non Functional Testing who will be a part of Core Modernisation program which involves a major upgrade of core technology infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the successful non-functional testing of applications being migrated, ensuring seamless functionality within the modernized infrastructure. Our main office is in Sydney, NSW, with the option to work from our additional location in Baulkham Hills. This is a 2-year, fixed-term engagement.
Key Objectives
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand migration requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Develop, review, and execute non-functional test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate application and infrastructure migration outcomes.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for migrated applications, identifying and mitigating risks to quality.
- Implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives.
- Conduct end-to-end and regression testing for applications impacted by migration activities.
- Maintain, execute test automation suites, and report findings proactively.
- Maintain test data and ensure environment conflicts are minimised through pro-active management.
- Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with the development and migration teams.
- Provide detailed test execution reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, this includes training, handover, and support documentations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Your Background
- Proven expertise and experience in non-functional testing, especially performance testing and failover testing.
- Expertise in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools.
- Proficient in running performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, AppDynamics and Kibana.
- Extensive experience in planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.
- Ability to analyse migration impacts and translate them into effective test cases.
- Advanced experience in payments and settlements systems, services, and operations.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure modernization concepts, even if not directly involved in infrastructure testing is highly preferred.
- Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams in complex program environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving defects.
- Effective communication skills to effectively articulate test results and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
