Overview

As a Senior Tosca Automation Lead, you’ll lead and accelerate automation initiatives across Workday and associated enterprise applications, designing scalable automation frameworks and providing technical leadership across Workday modules and integrated applications. This hands-on technical leadership role requires deep expertise in Tricentis Tosca, Workday business processes, API automation, and enterprise test automation best practices, working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and test teams to uplift automation assets and drive delivery.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade Tosca automation frameworks.
  • Review and uplift existing automation assets to improve maintainability, reliability, and execution efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Workday and custom enterprise applications.
  • Drive automation strategy and best practices across multiple testing streams.
  • Build reusable automation components and libraries to accelerate delivery.
  • Design and execute API automation and integration testing using Tosca.
  • Customise and enhance automation reporting, dashboards, and execution monitoring.
  • Support CI/CD integration and automated execution pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, and test teams.
  • Mentor and guide automation engineers on framework design, scripting standards, and automation best practices.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and automation roadmap development.
  • Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:   

  • 7+ years hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (mandatory).
  • Proven experience leading automation initiatives in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Extensive experience in test case automation, maintenance, optimisation, and execution.
  • Experience with API automation using Tosca API Scan and API testing frameworks, including REST/SOAP services.
  • Demonstrated experience automating Workday business processes across Core HCM, Time and Absence, Time Tracking, and Onboarding.
  • Preferred experience in additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Learning.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, qTest, or similar ALM tools, along with test data management and CI/CD integration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques, plus version control and automation governance practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments, ideally with enterprise SaaS platforms and complex integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Tricentis Tosca certifications highly desirable; Workday testing or implementation experience preferred.
