About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (Digital UX/UI Specialist) to join our Digital team in a newly created role. Reporting directly to the Digital Experience Manager, you will lead the end to end UX/UI design for our website experiences. You will act as the primary point of contact for UX/UI design and customer insights, influencing the digital feature roadmap and guiding digital product development.

Because this is a new role, you will have the unique opportunity to establish our UX/UI capability from the ground up, define foundational design systems, and establish a framework for knowledge sharing within the Digital team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the end to end UX/UI design for website experiences, conduct discovery workshops and user research, and translate insights into wireframes and high-fidelity designs.
  • Perform post release UX/UI audits across all Retail website pages (Red Energy, Lumo Energy) to evaluate component fit, information flow, and narrative clarity, implementing continuous improvements to reduce fallout.
  • Build scalable, production-ready Figma UI component libraries and implement design token structures specifically optimised for our Contentful CMS.
  • Track and report on UX/UI performance, collaborating with Customer Insights and Analytics teams, embedding A/B testing and continuous optimisation into your ways of working.
  • Establish UX/UI capability at Red Energy from the ground up, define foundational design systems and guidelines, and establish a framework for mentoring as the team scales.
  • Support strategic customer journey mapping across key touchpoints like Develop & Attract, Sell & Connect, and Bill & Pay to support growth, customer conversion, and experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, Digital Product, and Digital Advertising teams to design high impact improvements that enhance the digital experience.
  • Actively contribute to the Digital Experience Strategy, defining the 1 to 3 year feature roadmap and experience vision while acting as the primary point of contact for UX/UI design.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3 - 5 years of UX/UI design experience with a strong focus on complex web and mobile application journeys.
  • Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
  • End-to-end delivery capability, from leading research, discovery sessions, and stakeholder workshops through to implementation.
  • An analytical, data-driven approach to conduct UX/UI audits, optimise design flows, and support product roadmaps and CX strategy.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high volume, low cost customer acquisition pathways (e.g., calculators and sign up flows).

Why Join Red Energy?

We are committed to creating a rewarding and supportive environment for our people. When you join our team, you can expect:

  • Excellent Work-Life Balance: Benefit from a hybrid work model (2 Days WFH), 30 weeks of paid parental leave, and the option to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional annual leave each year.
  • Competitive Rewards: In addition to your yearly salary, you can earn a KPI-based bonus and be celebrated through our employee recognition and rewards program.
  • Professional Development: Enjoy unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning to support your continuous growth and career advancement.
  • A Great Culture: Join a vibrant, dog-friendly team in our Cremorne office that is committed to your career growth and development.
  • Exclusive Savings & Benefits: Take advantage of a wide range of employee perks & discounts, including novated leasing, corporate rates on private health insurance, and deals on tech, travel, and more.

If you're ready to bring your passion for UX/UI design to a brand that Australians love, we’d love to hear from you.
