It’s in our differences that we will keep revolutionising the way for our customers. We are better together!
What We Do…
We’re people who love technology but know that hoteliers just want things to be simple. So since 2006 we’ve been constantly innovating our world-leading hotel commerce platform to help accommodation owners find and book more guests online - quickly and simply.
We’ve helped everyone from boutique hotels to big chains, enabling travellers to book igloos, cabins, castles, holiday parks, campsites, pubs, resorts, Airbnbs, and everything in between.
And today, we’re the world’s leading open hotel commerce platform, supporting 47,000 hotels in 150 countries - with over 125 million reservations processed by SiteMinder’s technology every year.
About the Senior Web Developer Role
At SiteMinder, we believe in creating digital experiences that feel seamless, intuitive, and deeply supportive of our global community of hoteliers. As our next Senior Web Developer, you’ll be an essential part of a close-knit, cross-functional team, helping to shape and maintain our key marketing websites — SiteMinder.com and LittleHotelier.com — as well as the campaign landing pages and email experiences that connect us to our customers.
This role is perfect for someone who loves turning complex challenges into elegant, user-friendly solutions and values thoughtful collaboration just as much as clean code.
What you’ll do…
Partnering with our Web and Marketing teams to build and maintain custom WordPress websites (using Bedrock, Sage, and vanilla WordPress).
Creating and enhancing templates, themes, and plugins to support new business initiatives and storytelling needs.
Bringing campaign landing pages to life in Marketo, ensuring they’re visually engaging, responsive, and easy to navigate.
Writing well-structured, accessible, and maintainable code with performance and user experience always in mind.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with care and efficiency — keeping downtime to a minimum.
Making sure our sites look and work beautifully across all browsers and devices.
Advocating for best practices in SEO, accessibility, and performance.
Contributing to a positive development workflow using Git, and sharing knowledge with teammates along the way.
What you have…
A track record of building and maintaining custom WordPress websites in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Solid skills in:
Frontend: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6), jQuery
Backend: PHP, MySQL, WordPress Bedrock, Sage
Workflow: Git, CLI, NPM, Yarn
Confidence in your ability to independently debug complex issues.
Comfort working across both Mac and Windows environments.
Clear, open communication — both written and verbal.
A self-motivated approach with the structure to thrive in remote or hybrid settings.
A naturally collaborative spirit that fits well with SiteMinder’s inclusive, values-driven culture.
Availability during AU/PH business hours. (Bonus points if you can work from a SiteMinder office!)
