This role is responsible for the integrity, optimisation, and governance of HUB24’s Workday platform across all Finance and HR modules. It ensures the system supports evolving business needs, enforces financial and compliance controls, and delivers reliable, accurate, and secure data. 
 
As HUB24’s Workday System Owner, you are a key leader responsible for system performance, security, and compliance. You ensure Workday functions effectively, aligns with business needs, and supports financial goals - driving a robust control environment that underpins business success. 
 
You will work closely with Finance, HR, Technology, and external partners to oversee system administration, lead enhancements, manage upgrades, and ensure Workday meets organisational and regulatory requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic ownership and optimisation of Workday across HR and Finance, covering modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Adaptive Planning, and more.
  • Govern system controls, data architecture, integrations, and reporting, ensuring alignment with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the Workday roadmap and oversee regular releases, testing, and deployment of new features.
  • Define and uphold data governance standards; monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure system compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards, supporting ongoing risk mitigation efforts.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and user experience enhancements across Workday modules.
  • Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions, partnering with SMEs across Finance, People & Culture, and Technology.
  • Manage integrations with external systems and monitor adoption, providing training to boost utilisation.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, including system upgrades, module rollouts, and data migrations.
  • Maintain clear documentation and develop user-friendly materials to support system knowledge and consistency.

Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of extensive experience in Workday implementation and ongoing system management 
  • Demonstrable understanding of cross-functional Workday system configuration, including successful review, testing and rollout of bi-annual functional release 
  • Strong knowledge of Workday security profiles and reporting capability 
  • Ability to understand commercial business problems and identify, design and configure appropriate Workday solutions and processes 
  • Ability to deliver an effective financial control position through the Workday system, supporting HUB24’s strong audit position 
  • Workday system implementation experience and effective project management knowledge and skills 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse internal teams, including Finance, People & Culture and Technology 
  • Ability to influence decision-making and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
