As SEO Manager, you’ll be in charge of developing and implementing a strategy for organic growth expansion of xero.com across all search engines, alongside our internal team and agency partners. 


SEO is a key growth channel for Xero, attracting millions of sessions a month, and with significant opportunity to expand this further. Leveraging a combination of content, technical SEO, authority/link building, and other offsite SEO activity you’ll drive predictable long term impact by delivering high quality content to users on Google and beyond. 


What you'll do


Reporting into the Head of SEO your main responsibility will be end to end management of our SMB Acquisition SEO initiatives, globally. This will include: 


● Leading SEO projects - from strategy planning, through to implementation and performance monitoring

● Owning keyword intelligence, and defining opportunities and gaps in terms of keyword coverage

● Collaborating with our in-house content, website, CRO and analytics teams to support our advertising strategies

● Collaborating with our SEO agency partners

● Using performance data and competitive insights to develop an offsite strategy to support SEO efforts

● Monitoring performance, and staying on top of industry trends and algorithm changes - then sharing insights and acting on them


What you'll bring


● Proven expertise in data-driven SEO, including Core Web Vitals, E-E-A-T, programmatic SEO, and emerging trends.

● Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, alongside experience with SEO performance tracking tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.

● Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, fostering alignment across teams.

● A curious and passionate approach to SEO and performance marketing, with a commitment to continuous learning.
