The Opportunity
The ServiceNow Developer / Engineer role is to optimise our operational ways-of-working and our infrastructure management practices, through monitoring, automation, standardisation, integration, reporting, compliance management of our Operations and Infrastructure Management Platforms, Systems and Tools, particularly ServiceNow.

What you'll be doing
- Designing and implementing solutions to support Customer Assurance, Project Delivery, Infrastructure Management, IT Service Management and System Monitoring.
- Configure and integrate BI&A tools and systems with other operational systems, infrastructure elements and ServiceNow.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and incidents to resolve faults and issues
- Developing and implementing automation/orchestration solutions
- Developing and implementing automation/orchestration solutions
- Create and maintain documentation for BI&A tools and systems, including design specifications, configuration details and troubleshooting guides.
- Prepare reports on system performance, IT Service Management performance, and operational metrics for stakeholders.
- Liasing with vendors and service providers for support and troubleshooting when required.
- Ensuring all BI&A tools and systems comply with industry and security standards and regulations
Required experience and skills
- We require security clearance for this role, you must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
- ServiceNow centric DevOps Engineer.
- 10+ years of experience across a broad range of network system administration and software development technologies.
- Minimum 7 years of experience developing within the ServiceNow PaaS environment, including the following:
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, data models and core capabilities
- Expertise in ServiceNow modules ITSM, CMDB, IToM, GRC, SPM, CSM, ITAM, etc.
- Hands-on experience with configuration and customisation within the platform
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using RESTAPI, SOAP, or other integration technologies
- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and custom application development
- In-depth hands-on experience in at least 5 of the below:
- Scripting and automation with Python, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, PowerShell or similar with specific experience in continuous integration and deployment.
- Database administration and management with MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres.
- System administration with Microsoft Windows server and/or Linux or other Unix variants.
- VMware or other virtualisation technologies.
- Network administration with switching, routing and firewalls or other network and security devices, such as F5 load balancers.
- Knowledge in SNMP and network monitoring would be an added benefit.
- Experience in managing CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
