ServiceNow Technical Lead

Location: Egham with Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office) – with some travel to Belron offices as required

Reporting to: ServiceNow Platform Manager

We’re looking for a ServiceNow Technical Lead to join our Global Technology team at Belron. In this role, you’ll take the lead in assessing and reviewing proposed changes across our ServiceNow platform, making sure they align with our business processes and minimise risk. You’ll play a central part in how we govern, manage, and evolve the platform globally—ensuring changes add real value and are implemented in a considered, consistent way.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT and the wider business, acting as a bridge between technical detail and business impact. Your role will involve contributing to change and release management, guiding our AMS partner, and providing input into governance forums and design reviews. This is not a development-heavy role but one that needs strong configuration knowledge and the ability to assess the wider implications of technical changes.

What you’ll be doing:

Assessing and reviewing all proposed changes to the ServiceNow application, including their potential risks, benefits, and process impact.

Providing technical input into the Design Centre of Excellence (CoE) and helping to define standard changes where appropriate.

Attending Services CAB meetings and contributing insight around ServiceNow-related changes.

Supporting release management by evaluating the risk of changes being introduced into production.

Quality-assuring solutions before they’re released.

Offering guidance to third-party support and development teams, reducing the chance of errors while maintaining independence.

Helping with significant incident or problem resolution when needed.

Supporting MI processes and working with project teams to ensure they understand platform constraints and best practices.

What you’ll bring:

Strong experience in ServiceNow configuration and development, ideally in a large, international environment.

A deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including integrations and how it supports IT service management processes.

The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to a non-technical audience, helping business stakeholders understand what’s changing and why.

Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

A working knowledge of IT general controls and how they apply across enterprise systems.

Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.

About you:

You’re someone who sees the value in doing things properly - making sure that improvements are genuinely helpful to the business and don’t introduce unnecessary risk. You’re confident in your technical understanding but also know how to talk about it in plain language. You’re thoughtful, considered, and comfortable challenging proposals if something doesn’t feel quite right
