Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Manager to lead the always-on social presence for priority properties across Australasia.

This role blends strategic platform management with hands-on content creation, capturing and producing high-performing, social-first content across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Working closely with the Director of Brand Marketing and wider Marketing team, you will ensure content remains visually elevated, platform-native and culturally relevant while driving engagement and audience growth across our hotel brands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a social media professional who thrives behind both the camera and the analytics dashboard, someone who understands trends, storytelling and how content inspires travel.

What You Will Do

Social Channel Management

  • Manage daily publishing across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook channels.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all platforms.
  • Ensure channels remain active, engaging and culturally relevant.
  • Plan and execute always-on social calendars aligned with marketing priorities.

Content Creation

  • Capture and produce short-form video and photography across priority hotels.
  • Create Reels, TikToks and social-first storytelling content designed for performance.
  • Edit video content using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent platforms.
  • Travel across priority hotels to capture on-property content and experiences.

Platform Growth

  • Identify emerging social trends, formats and platform opportunities.
  • Optimise content performance using engagement and audience insights.
  • Drive follower growth, reach and meaningful audience engagement.
  • Test new content formats and continuously refine social strategy.

Collaboration

  • Partner with hotel teams to identify compelling content opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing to ensure creative and visual consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Influencer & Brand Partnerships Manager to amplify creator and influencer content

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing brand social media accounts, ideally within travel, lifestyle or hospitality.
  • Strong content creation skills, including filming, editing and storytelling for short-form platforms.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram and evolving social media trends.
  • Experience analysing performance metrics and optimising content accordingly.
  • Ability to balance creativity with brand standards and commercial objectives.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to travel for content capture.
