Position Overview:  

Here at Antares Solutions, we have a history of nurturing graduate software developers. We view an internship with Antares as a direct pathway to full time employment with us, and ultimately the beginning of your career journey. 

Our internship is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students in their penultimate or final year of study. We will offer an ongoing internship for the students during their studies if suitable, with a potential to extend depending on circumstances. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Software Developer Intern to assist with developing and maintaining software applications for our clients. This internship offers hands-on experience in software development, where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain insights into the consulting industry. We provide you with mentoring and career coaching from senior staff to help you identify your goals, we focus on professional development and employability to compliment your studies and help to set you up for career success. You will also gain exposure to various programming languages, development frameworks, and industry-standard tools in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Technically, you will need to have a desire to work in architecting and developing AI and .NET/React Apps on Microsoft Azure Platform. 

Please note, this role is only open those living in, or around Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications and solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality.
  • Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software applications.
  • Support the development of new features and improvements for client-facing applications and products.
  • Conduct research and assist with technical documentation as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for project improvements.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelors in year 3-4 are preferred or studying masters in any year of the above degrees.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of web development, databases, or cloud technologies is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for software development.
