About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our growing team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of a new platform that will transform how QA automation is managed and executed. The platform will empower non-technical and QA users to easily run automated tests, bridging the gap between engineering and quality assurance. 
 
You will work closely with senior engineers, QA specialists, and product stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable, user-friendly solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain features for a new QA automation platform using Node.js, Vue.js, and Playwright. 
  • Collaborate with the product and QA teams to design solutions that enable non-technical users to create and run automated tests. 
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. 
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. 
  • Contribute to improving QA automation workflows and development best practices. 

Requirements
  • Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript development. 
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js and Vue.js. 
  • Exposure to or interest in test automation frameworks, ideally Playwright. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have 

  • Basic understanding of C# or willingness to upskill. 
  • Experience working in an agile environment. 
  • Familiarity with QA processes or tools.
