We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our Analytics Platform team, who will report directly to the Engineering Manager for the Product Data Platform. This position is ideal for either a Data Engineer with experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure or a Software Engineer who possesses a solid understanding of analytical data platforms.
Successful candidate will have experience working with product analytics, big data systems and will be adept at designing and developing high-quality software services. As part of our team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative solutions for Atlassian's analytics platform, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and performance.
This role presents a unique opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and innovative environment that demands strong problem-solving skills. You will have the chance to create and implement cutting-edge solutions tailored to our business needs.
In this position, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, including backend specialists and core data engineers, who are dedicated to managing Atlassian's customer-facing data platform.
- 2+ years of experience in Data/Software Engineering role
- Experience with Big data processing technologies like Spark, Flink.
- Degree in Computer Science, EE, or related STEM discipline
- Experience building applications in one or more languages (Kotlin, Scala, Java, Python)
- Built solutions using public cloud offerings such as AWS
- Solid understanding and experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices, e.g. with Flask
- Experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration, and source control system such as Git
