You'll be a key member of a team that is fast-paced, independent, ambitious and proficient across the full tech stack!The Mobile Apps team you will be joining is a core part of our digital product and technology team at Kogan.com. Our team is fast-paced, independent, ambitious and have end to end ownership of the Kogan.com site, the Android native application, and Kogan Shopping Android native application.

What you'll do:

  • Architect, build and scale new features across our internal platforms that power every part of Kogan.com’s operations.
  • Continuously improve backend databases and APIs to boost performance, reliability and scalability for thousands of customers, team members and suppliers.
  • Work closely with our Business Analyst and stakeholders across logistics, engineering and other teams to turn business needs into smart, efficient technical solutions.
  • Take ownership across the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, UAT and deployment, with code shipping to production frequently.
  • Support a culture of engineering excellence by contributing to QA efforts, peer reviews and helping lift the technical bar across the team.

What you'll need:

  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with C# .NET Framework, .NET (for Linux and Windows), MS SQL Server, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) and REST APIs.
  • Version Control: Strong understanding of Git and version control best practices.
  • Testing Proficiency: Solid experience with unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and maintainability.
  • Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with AWS and Docker is a strong advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on building effective working relationships.
  • Conscientiousness: Takes ownership and accountability for deliverables, monitors outcomes post-deployment, and proactively resolves issues or bugs.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, with the flexibility and drive to adjust to shifting priorities.
