About the Role

As a Software Engineer II in the BrightWrite/Data team, you will leverage your intermediate-level expertise to contribute to innovations focused on delivering AI assisted projects that improves the business efficiency.

Your key tasks will include:
- Supporting AI Implementations: Assist with the development and integration of AI-powered solutions within APIs, aimed at improving customer chatbot operations and automating insurance workflows for better user interaction and business efficiency.
- Collaborating with the team to co-design, develop, and deploy scalable APIs using Django and FastAPI with Rest and GraphQL.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through comprehensive testing and code reviews. Improves the process with the CI/CD toolings
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. Writing and maintaining technical documentation, including tutorials, guides, and blameless post-mortems

Technical requirements for the role:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional Python backend development experience using frameworks like Django or FastAPI. Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable software solutions.
  • Experience in building and maintaining REST APIs
  • Experience working with OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude APIs
  • Experience in prompt tweaking for AI models.
  • Proficiency with Python testing
  • Basic practical experience working with frontend e.g. Javascript, HTML, CSS
  • Previous experience maintaining Python applications that manage large workloads in production environments using Kubernetes and Helm or similar technologies
  • Experience using observability tools e.g. Datadog, Grafana, NewRelic and Prometheus 
  • Understanding of modern DevOps practices such as Docker, CI/CD and Kubernetes

Nice to have:

  • Experiences with publishing non web based Python projects and/or Pypi packages
  • Hands on experiences using GraphQL
  • Hands on DevOps experiencesFunctional knowledge of any of the following technologies:
  • RabbitMQ / Celery (al alternatives)
  • GitLab CI
  • ArgoCD
  • Experience with GCP / Edge computing platform is a plus
