As a Software Engineer, you are passionate about cutting-edge technology and obsessed with delighting our customers. The ideal candidate has a creative mindset, is curious and self-directed, enjoys solving complex problems on a large scale, and has high-performance cloud-native applications. You will embark on a full-cycle and full-stack product development lifecycle journey. You will have solid business and technical acumen, efficiently manage the details, and drive a "big picture" perspective. You stretch the boundaries, move swiftly through ambiguity, and have a great sense of product ownership.  

 

Internet-of-Things (IoT) organization provides complete device lifecycle management and the source of truth for device therapy in the cloud. It starts from manufactured, registered with the cloud, used by the patient, maintained, suspended, and scrapped.  IoT enabled Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrade capability for our fleet of therapy machines.  Enable advanced IoMT and analytic dashboard to provide near-real insights into device therapy, settings, and diagnostics to our customers and across the globe. 

 

 

Let's talk about responsibilities   

  • As a highly competent engineer: mentor an intern and/or an associate engineer in product and technical domains.  Work closely with the Technical Product Manager & Delivery Manager on planning, estimation, and triaging issues. Collaborate and align well within the team and with cross-functional teams.  

  • Apply creativity and technical knowledge: to design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor cloud-native applications in AWS, with speed.  Assist in executing spikes, proof of concepts, and exploring new ideasAssist with code reviews and provide constructive feedback. 

  • Own product quality: by adhering to best engineering practices in testing and automation (unit, integration, performance, security, CI/CD, end2end validation).  Create product success metrics (p50, p90, p95). 

  • Achieve operational excellence through infrastructure as code, incremental changes that anticipate failure, and learning from failures.   

  • Dedicate: to patients and customers, building the best solution for their needs. 

 

Let's talk about qualifications and experience 

  • Experience developing in Java, Python, and React 

  • Solid understanding of design patterns and algorithms. 

  • Experienced in building secure cloud-native applications that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient.   

  • Experience with message queueing and notification services such as (Amazon MQ, SQS, SNS, AmazonEventBridge,etc.). 

  • Experience with Kubernetes orchestration. 

  • Experiences with container technologies and serverless services on AWS such as (Docker, K8, Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, S3, etc.). 

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Puppet). 

  • Experience in continuous integration and deployment with (Github, Jenkins) 

  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL data services such as (Mongo Atlas, MySQL RDS DB).  

  • Strong debugging, functional and non-functional testing, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Experience using observability and monitoring tools such as (DataDog, CloudWatch, and Splunk) 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, and at least 2+ years of professional software development experience, including with high-volume cloud-native applications and services. 

 

Desirable 

  • AWS certification for developers or DevOps is an asset. 

  • Knowledge of event-driven applications such as (Amazon EventBridge, Timestream, Kafka, etc.) 

  • Knowledge and experience in test automation with modern testing tools such as (K6, Kubectl, Jmeter, RestAssured, Postman, and Selenium) 

  • Exposure to AI/ML experience is an asset. 

  • Exposure working in a regulated medical environment.
