What you’ll do 

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions using Java (11 & 17), Spring Boot, and React. 

  • Develop intuitive front-end interfaces with React and Node.js, leveraging modern frameworks and tools such as NPM. 

  • Containerise applications with Docker and deploy them on AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, load balancers)—experience with Azure is also valued. 

  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Bamboo for streamlined development, testing, and deployment. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions following microservices architecture and design patterns. 

  • Ensure application security through best practices in authentication and authorisation (JWT, OAuth, certificate management). 

  • Utilise relational and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, and optionally Amazon DocumentDB. 

About You 

  • You're Australia-based with full working rights

  • Around 5 years’ experience in full-stack development is the sweet spot, especially with Spring Boot and React. 

  • Proven coding skills in Java and hands-on experience with front-end development. 

  • Familiar with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerisation (Docker), and serverless technologies. 

  • Comfortable with modern DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, GitLab or Bamboo). 

  • Understanding of microservices, authentication/authorisation protocols, and working with various databases.

  • Bonus: Experience with Node.js, Redux, UI/UX principles (including responsive design), Kubernetes, Microsoft AD, and document databases.
