Introduction

We believe human progress will come from augmenting AI to the way we work. We help organisations scale results, not their headcount, with AI and automation. We achieve this through three core business areas: AI Readiness, AI Agents and Retail Media. If you want to get in on the ground floor of a fast-paced startup where your efforts have a direct impact on the success of our mission, we’d love to hear from you.

Role summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in defining and implementing effective engineering and AI solutions. You’ll drive business impact by designing, implementing and deploying AI and data solutions for enterprise environments, while guiding and championing best practices for our clients and products.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI solutions, evaluating AI readiness of clients, executing proof-of-concepts (POCs), and integrating successful POCs into production ready products. This role also involves strategic engineering consulting, helping clients define and implement effective engineering and AI strategies and contributing to our product roadmap. You’ll drive business impact by solving real-world problems with advanced engineering.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Implement, design, and deploy software solutions, including data integrations required to feed AI solutions.

  • Adapt to changing toolkits, models, and scopes, and manage POCs and prototypes.

  • Work closely with the software team, but also with clients, sales, marketing, product, and delivery teams to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives.

  • Follow and champion efficient, repeatable and scalable engineering processes. (Automation, CI/CD, unit testing etc.)

  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends in software and AI engineering

Ideal candidate

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in software development. Most work will be in Python, however a good understanding of at least one strongly typed language is preferred (C#, Java, C++, etc.).

  • Exposure to at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure etc.) with an understanding of how modern cloud-based solutions are designed and implemented.

  • Demonstratable interest in and exposure to AI/ML engineering and the data solutions which feed AI.

Nice to haves or wanting to learn on the job

  • Interest in working in a fast-paced startup or scaleup technology business.

  • Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders.

Our culture and core values

As we are still in our early stages, we believe cultivating our culture and core values is going to be critical to the success of our business. Our core values are human progress, iterate quickly, further together, be dependable, and have fun. We are looking for individuals who are attracted to these values and wanting to help shape our culture as we grow.

By applying for a role with us, you agree that we will collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://xephyr.co/policy.
