Purpose

Alfa offers a wide spectrum of roles, including solution architecture, development management and implementation. You will work effectively as part of a team, implementing our leading software at banks and finance companies. The job involves working with Alfa colleagues, and customers to see challenges through from start-to-finish.

Primary responsibilities/duties

Implementation

  • Requirements gathering and documentation including software design, business processes and training materials
  • Supporting customer configuration of the software to meet their business requirements
  • Software issue investigation and recreation, liaising with engineering teams to ensure issues are resolved efficiently, performing quality assurance and review of issues
  • Managing the application release processes both internally and with the customer alongside supporting Alfa’s hosting service which deploys our system securely in the AWS public cloud
  • Supporting the customer in creating reports and documents, mapping Alfa Systems concepts into a data warehouse or a document production tool
  • Involvement in migrations such as developing transformation and load routines, reconciling legacy and Alfa Systems as well as investigating behavioural differences between the systems
  • Integration design using real-time, event-driven architectures (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, ActiveMQ, Kinesis) as well as batch processes for legacy systems
  • Integration development using Alfa Systems tooling based on Camel/Spring technologies
  • Ownership and prioritisation of own work, multitasking where appropriate
  • Supervision and coaching of analysts, implementation partners and customers
  • Documenting and delivering potential enhancements to our system

Required experience/qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business analysis and client requirement gathering

  • Bachelor's degree qualification in any background
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Commitment to knowledge sharing
  • Must be authorised to work in the Australia without restrictions

Preferred experience/qualifications

  • Interest in helping clients implement new technology
  • Experience in financial services or financial technology organizations
  • Around 1-2 years in software implementation, consultancy or a related field
  • Experience with the implementation of enterprise, distributed systems
  • Basic experience with coding in Java or other object oriented languages
