Position Summary

Solutions Engineers at Okendo work closely with customers and internal teams to understand, scope, and build customized software solutions for Okendo’s e-commerce merchants. You will become a highly knowledgeable product and integration expert and you will work directly as an engineer to build and deliver technical solutions.


How you'll create impact:

Technical Expertise:

Tech stack: Typescript, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Node, React, Angular, AWS

Pre-sale process: Support the sales and expansion teams by providing technical product expertise (API, Onboarding, security, customer data)

Post-sale: Support the success team as the technical SME by answering questions and designing solutions regarding custom functionality, custom reporting, data migration, enterprise plan development, and escalated support tickets.

Partners / 3rd-party integrations: Collaborate with tech and agency partners to understand, evaluate, scope, and develop custom functionality for 3rd-party tech integrations.


Product Expertise:

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Okendo’s products, code base, and integrations through internal training and independent research.


Project Management:

- Partner with prospects and customers to understand their requests and to gather technical requirements in order to recommend solutions that address their needs.

- Build relationships with key customer stakeholders by serving as a technical liaison from pre-sales to post-sales

- Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams, as required, communicating customer and prospect feedback, product bugs and gaps, building custom solutions for strategic accounts, and testing and providing feedback on Okendo APIs and new product releases.


What we need from you:

Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a software developer

Intermediate/Advanced expertise with our tech stack: Typescript, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Node, React, Angular, AWS

Knowledge of the Shopify environment, Shopify Liquid, and Shopify’s API

Interpersonal skills: You must be comfortable interfacing with both customers and internal staff from around the globe.

Initiative: You will be required to take initiative, manage projects independently in a waterfall environment, and to deliver projects within a reasonable timeline.

Creative and critical thinking skills to unlock the full potential of how Okendo’s product and integration stack can be used to solve complex issues
