Company Description

Bilue is a digital consultancy that designs and builds smart, user-friendly technology for some of Australia’s most well-known businesses. From mobile apps to beautifully designed web platforms and digital experiences, we create solutions that drive impact and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Our culture is people-first and purpose-driven. We’re a down-to-earth, values-led team with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and a growing presence in Manila. We genuinely enjoy working together, whether we’re solving tough tech problems, brainstorming creative solutions, or grabbing a coffee between meetings. Curiosity is encouraged. Collaboration is second nature.

We value excellence, not ego, and back each other to do great work without micromanagement. With low politics and high trust, it’s a place where delivery people, designers, and engineers genuinely connect, and where everyone has a voice, space to grow, and a little fun along the way.

You’ll combine strong technical expertise with consultative skills to bridge business needs and technical execution, ensuring that every solution aligns with business goals.

As a trusted expert, you’ll collaborate closely with strategy, design, and engineering teams to define solution architectures, lead technical decision making and ensure delivery excellence across CMS and digital experience initiatives.

Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Define solution architectures covering system, integrations, data and deployment strategies.
  • Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
  • Champion best practices in scalable and headless architectures leveraging Optimizely’s DXP capabilities.

Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and guide development teams through implementation.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and conduct technical reviews to ensure architecture integrity and delivery quality.
  • Support DevOps, deployment, and environment management aligned with modern CI/CD practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads to ensure timelines, scope, and quality standards are met.

Consulting & Client Engagement

  • Serve as the trusted advisor to clients, translating business problems into technical solutions
  • Run discovery and solution definition workshops to understand business needs and recommend architectural approaches.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including scoping, solution estimation, and solution proposal.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Contribute to internal capability building through development of frameworks, accelerators, and reusable assets.
  • Mentor developers and consultants on architecture patterns and platform best practices.
  • Stay current with Optimizely roadmap updates and emerging digital experience technologies.

Qualifications

About You

  • 5+ years of professional development experience as a Senior Developer or Technical lead, including at least 3 years delivering solutions on Optimizely CMS/DXP
  • Strong experience with .NET (C#) in both web and desktop contexts; familiarity with MVC and .NET Core a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting and deployment (Azure or AWS)
  • Solid experience building cloud-native, serverless back-end services using AWS Lambda, Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, API Gateways, and Kinesis
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC/Core for web development
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB and Microsoft SQL
  • Experience with Python
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins)
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js and React is a plus
  • Optimizely certifications are advantageous but not essential
