Equifax is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Architect to join our innovative team. In this role, you'll be a key contributor in identifying and implementing best-fit architectural solutions for critical business milestones while ensuring alignment to strategic business objectives. You'll work alongside industry-leading talent, designing and delivering high-quality solutions that directly address our customers' business needs and exceed their expectations. You will act as a technical leader, influencing best practices, coaching and mentoring, and championing new technologies that drive business value.

What you'll do

  • Lead moderately large or complex projects, ensuring successful business outcomes.

  • Determine, develop, and document recommended architectural approaches for current and new systems.

  • Serve as a technical architecture expert for the engineering and operational teams.

  • Assist project teams in estimating architecture design efforts and in developing, reviewing, and approving architecture designs.

  • Define cloud architectural patterns, best practices, and guardrails for development and operations teams.

  • Ensure architectural decisions balance short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic vision, considering costs, benefits, and risks.

  • Effectively communicate complex architectural concepts and trade-offs to diverse audiences, including technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

  • Leverage a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts across multiple specialized fields to develop solutions for complex problems and critical design issues.

What experience you need

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience.

  • 5+ years of overall relevant experience, including 3+ years developing and/or administering software in the public cloud.

  • Experience monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives are met.

  • Proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go,  JavaScript, and/or Node.js.

  • Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.

  • Solid understanding and practical application of Enterprise Architecture frameworks.

  • Proven ability to define and communicate architectural vision, principles, and standards.

  • Strong experience with modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs).

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and mentor.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to solution design.

  • Cloud Certification strongly preferred (AWS/GCP).
