A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Solution Manager to join our team. As Solution Manager in Identity and Biometric Solutions (IBS) business line, you will address customers' needs in order to offer the most appropriate technical solutions. You contribute to maximizing the solutions turnover and profit margin by being responsible for the technical offers and the cost structure.

YOUR ROLE

Working from our Sydney HQ, Sydney Olympic Park, on Wann-gal land, your role purpose will be: 

  • You are the technical interface of the solutions area team within the IBS business line and lead technical consulting while supporting the definition of the solution and customer requirements
  • You drive the definition of solutions for prospects and customers.
  • You organize technical lobbying/influence through customer/partners technical meetings, workshops, and solutions presentation.
  • You are the primary interface for the internal team, lead the technical answer, and are accountable for the global costs structure (document-related part excluded), and you challenge and validate cost proposals.
  • You lead Proof-Of-Concept (POC) solutions and demos related to the identified opportunity, either in pre-bid phase or during tenders.
  • You participate actively in pre-sales activity in the region and contribute to the development of technical business for new solutions or services.
  • Logging and updating of ‘Opportunities’ data to feed the Master Plan, including workload, milestones, and financials.
  • You are responsible for the “Hand-Over Review” to ensure a clear transfer of responsibility to the Delivery teams (including Project Management, Customer Service, Controlling).
  • You ensure that all required solution management activities, as part of bid process, are completed within the allocated and agreed upon timeframe.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Technical background and knowledgeable in one or many areas of software development, software architecture, IT architecture or IT solutions (such as Client/Server systems, networks, virtualization, mobile systems, cryptography, PKI, logical security, Cloud technology).
  • Experience or knowledge in Biometrics, Digital ID, Border & Travel, Criminal Latent & Forensics and/or Secure Credentials domains is considered as a strong plus.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Solution Manager, R&D project leader, R&D team manager, Solution Architect, Project Manager, Technical Sales, Product Manager, IT Operation Manager
  • Communication, negotiation & presentation skills
  • Contract, legal and finance understanding including revenue recognition schemes
  • Ability to learn quickly new customer’s processes and environments
  • Scheduling and Project Management skills.
