Bynder is a leader in cloud-based, AI-powered digital asset management, and our Solutions team is expanding to meet growing demand across APAC. We're looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven problem-solver who thinks strategically, adapts fast, and takes ownership — someone who can help leading enterprises grow their creative and marketing initiatives and turn that into measurable business outcomes.

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll work closely with the Sales team to introduce Bynder to prospects and customers, strengthening their creative and marketing initiatives. You'll deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations, becoming a trusted advisor who consults on solutions, validates needs, and resolves technical objections.
This is a chance to help build a small but fast-growing Melbourne office into a regional leader for Bynder globally. APAC is a high priority for the business, and this role sits close to the ground floor of that growth. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy — as one of the earlier technical hires in the region, you'll set the tone for how Solutions Engineering shows up in APAC, often without a large local bench to lean on day-to-day. If you're the kind of person who's energized by building something rather than joining something already built, this is designed for you.

You'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Partnerships, and Marketing — many of them distributed across the globe — and your work will directly shape revenue, product quality, and customer experience.
Responsibilities

  • Partner strategically with Account Executives on account and territory strategy, jointly navigating complex, multi-quarter sales cycles — not just executing demos, but shaping how deals are won.

  • Become an expert on Bynder's company, product, and value proposition, and stay current on how the broader DAM, MarTech, and AI landscape is evolving — bringing that outside perspective back into your deals and into the business.

  • Own all technical aspects of tenders and presentations.

  • Understand customer businesses and use cases to design innovative, compelling solutions, leveraging AI-powered insights for enhanced efficiency and impact.

  • Translate complex technical scenarios into plain language and quantifiable business value for audiences ranging from practitioners to the C-suite.

  • Convince through customized demonstrations, managed trials, and proofs of concept that showcase tangible business outcomes — adapting your approach on the fly as customer requirements, timelines, or stakeholders shift.

  • Scope requirements and produce Statements of Work (SOWs) that align with customer onboarding expectations.

  • Respond to advanced product and technical questions, RFPs, and security questionnaires precisely and on deadline.

  • Help bridge the gap between Product and Sales, capturing customer feedback to help shape the product roadmap — particularly around AI-driven features.

  • Work closely with Onboarding and Customer Success to ensure smooth transitions, well-managed expectations, and clean hand-offs.

  • Become a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, guiding them through their digital transformation journey.

  • Build reusable, scalable assets — recorded demos, interactive walkthroughs, reference documentation — that extend your impact beyond live 1:1 selling as the region grows.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, commercial, or technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of sales engineering, solution consulting, or equivalent B2B customer-facing experience at an enterprise SaaS company.

  • A self-starter who's comfortable operating independently in a remote or regional setup, making sound judgment calls without constant local support.

  • Demonstrated adaptability — comfortable working across a broad and evolving product surface, shifting priorities, and the ambiguity that comes with a scaling regional team.

  • Strong combination of business and technical acumen, with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes and thinking beyond the immediate deal to the account's long-term strategy.

  • Strong solution-selling skills; well-versed in the Challenger Sale Model or similar frameworks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to large audiences and to C-suite executives, with a focus on strategic impact.

  • Skilled at building relationships across all levels of an organization.

  • A strong team player who thrives in a high-growth, team-selling environment.

  • Solid understanding of SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and APIs, with fluency in how AI is reshaping this space.

  • Genuine, ongoing curiosity about new technology — someone who actively tracks what's next in AI and looks for ways to apply it, rather than waiting to be told.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling cloud technology in the SaaS model, particularly AI-powered solutions.

  • Knowledge of marketing, brand, media, or content management technologies (CMS, PIM, DXP) and how AI is transforming them.

  • Experience engaging marketing, brand, and creative personas — understanding their challenges and how technology, especially AI, can solve them.

  • A track record of contributing thought leadership or point-of-view content in digital asset management, MarTech, or AI.

  • Prior experience in an early-stage or regional-build role, helping stand up a new market or office.
