About the role

As a Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our organization by supporting our sales team with aligning Crunchtime’s solutions to meet the business needs of our clients. You will be responsible for the technical evaluation of our solution, including deep discovery to understand each client’s goals, challenges and business pain, collaborating with sales and leadership on strategy and presentations, and developing creative, story-based product demos that are tailored to each customer and focused on the value that our solution brings to the client. The Solution Engineer is an individual who is self-motivated, enjoys working in a team-selling environment, and is eager to make a positive impact.

What you’ll do as a Solution Engineer

  • Partner with Account Executives to understand customers needs and requirements, and develop a strategy to position Crunchtime’s solutions to meet those needs

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations tailored to the business needs and goals of existing and prospective customers

  • Provide a deep level of product knowledge and skillfully answer technical and functional product questions as part of the sales cycle

  • Deliver tailored solution demonstrations geared towards the prospects current pain and future state value

  • Develop trusted relationships with technical buyers

  • Lead technical discussions around enterprise architecture including integration strategies

  • Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, marketing, and customer success

  • Ensure customer success by acting as the liaison between sales and implementation teams

  • Prepare and communicate responses to RFPs

  • Support Marketing events including webinars, conferences and trade shows

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in pre-sales as a solution or sales engineer

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build and deliver compelling presentations including written, oral and presentation

  • Strong leadership skills leveraged to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process.

  • Experience working within sales methodologies

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts and opportunities

  • Motivated, positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude

  • Track record of successful sales performance

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience

  • Travel, as necessary, including international.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice to haves

  • Previous experience supporting cloud sales in the hospitality industry

  • Experience with Inventory Management, ERP, LMS, and/or operations execution solutions

  • Experience with the Demo2Win or other solutions engineering methodologies

  • Technical skills including basic programming in web-based technologies APIs and integration methodologies, Cloud infrastructure and security, broad understanding of computing environments and technologies.
