Sonos Pro Sales & Business Development Manager - ANZ

Short Term Employee (12 months)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will drive existing and new revenue growth through the existing installation channel on the back of channel expansion through the Distributor/s who sell to them & lead growth strategies and initiatives into the light commercial environment as our product roadmap evolves (starting with Era 100 Pro)

  • You will form and maintain excellent relationships at C-level with our ANZ based Distribution partners and Endorsed/Control partners. 

  • You will drive effective, high-impact channel programs and initiatives into the Professional installation channel, eg. Training and evangelism programs, Platinum Program ownership and its evolution, launching new products with impact using installation Partner key strengths and differences.

  • You will analyse, recommend, seek approval for and implement new distribution strategies and relationships through existing channels as needed (ie sub-distribution) and/or into new channels (ie adjacent markets such as Electrical Wholesale) through new partners.

  • You will build relationships within new vertical light commercial segments to identify and drive growth and profitability that get scaled through our channel partner set up.

  • You will work closely with all functions of the Sonos team (Marketing, Ops, Partnering) to ensure the accounts have cut through marketing and a pro-active innovative approach to attracting new customers.

  • You will lead in forecast management for the Professional installation channel, working with Planners, and relevant departments to ensure a strong, accurate forecast process and outcome for the IS business.

  • You will ensure an appropriate balance is struck between your time and energy exploring and executing new opportunities and working to ensure the ongoing success of our current Partners and initiatives. Prioritisation and focus setting will be key for your success.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of and passionate about Sonos product sets that have particular application to these channels and the Sonos platform development that integrates with potential partners in this space

  • Drive sales & strong sales management practices / processes – Sell thru – Disti – channel – forecast – performance management. 

  • Track record of being able to manage sales performance and targets from existing accounts / channels whilst also having an ability to build new channels that deliver long term benefit - through indirect channels (ie through Diati / through partners)

  • Able to build business cases to support Test / Learn / Pilot and evangelise / excite others around the Pro team on the future potential of the business

  • Natural networker with strong negotiation and influencing skills both internally as externally.

  • Existing network across AV and related industries including the light commercial vertical sectors 

  • Analytical, Curious, Entrepreneurial and Creative.

  • Test and learn oriented.

  • Ability to combine both strategy-based thinking and analytic analysis to support your work and approaches.

  • Demonstrate a strong "North Star" regarding ethics and integrity in his/her leadership style.

SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 10+ years of customer facing roles within the wider consumer industry, especially building and managing key channel / partner relationships (ie Distributors, Control partners, Resellers/ ISVs / System integrators etc), preferably in commercial / B2B segments

  • Broad professional background within Sales, Product / Category management or Marketing.

  • Entrepreneurial background

  • Strong Business Acumen & results Oriented

  • Creative, inspiring and progressive.

  • A storyteller with outstanding interpersonal skills: approachable, ability to quickly establish rapport, communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Displays a persistent, positive attitude to problem-solving and recognises that goals are achievable, even with obstacles

  • Fluent in English (required)

  • Strong affinity with our brand, products and a passion for music!
